The Camera Life Podcast for Photographers

The Camera Life

WE LOVE PHOTOGRAPHY!

Two live shows a week. Real conversations about cameras, creativity, and everything in between. Hosted by Justin and Greg, two photographers who genuinely can't stop talking about this stuff.

LET'S GO DEEP

LONG FORM PHOTOGRAPHY INTERVIEWS

Every Thursday morning at 9am (GMT+11) we sit down with an iconic photographer for a proper long-form conversation.

No fluff, no five-minute interviews. These are the kind of conversations where you actually learn something about how a photographer sees the world and how they got to where they are.

The Camera Life Podcast

SO. MUCH. FUN.

WEEKLY LIVE SHOW

Every Monday night Justin and Greg go live for a loose, unscripted conversation about whatever's caught their attention in the world of photography that week.

They are often joined by Jim or other legendary regular co-hosts such as Denis Smith, Bruce Moyle, Lucinda Goodwin, Adam Edwards and so many more!

It's opinionated, a bit unpredictable, and genuinely fun.

You can even send in your own photos to be featured on the show, brought up on screen for everyone to see and talk about.

The show is co-hosted by Justin, who runs Lucky Camera Straps and has spent over a decade as a professional photographer, and Greg, a writer and photographer who handles much of the show's research and guest coordination. Together they've built something that feels like a conversation between two people who genuinely care about photography.

The Thursday deep dive features iconic photographers for long-form conversations. Not quick five-minute interviews. These are proper sit-downs with working photographers, educators, and creatives who have something genuinely interesting to say about how they work and how they see the world.

Lucky Camera Straps sponsors the show, and co-host Justin founded the brand. Lucky makes premium leather camera straps for photographers who want gear that holds up and gets out of the way. You'll hear the occasional mention on air, but the show stands on its own as a photography show.

If you've been shooting for a little while and you're curious, you'll get a lot out of it. The show doesn't talk down to people, and it doesn't assume you know everything either. Plenty of the conversations are about photography more broadly and will resonate no matter what level you're at.

THE CAMERA LIFE PODCAST

For photographers who want more than just content to consume

Most photography content is made to be watched passively. Camera Life is a bit different. Both shows stream live first, which means you can actually get involved, ask questions, share your opinion, and feel like part of something rather than just an audience member.

The Random Photography Show on Monday nights is loose, opinionated, and open to wherever the conversation goes. Viewers send in photos. Things go off on tangents. It doesn't always go to plan and that's what makes it worth watching.

The Thursday deep dive is the other end of the spectrum. Long, careful conversations with photographers who have genuinely interesting things to say about their craft, their process, and how they got there.

Together the two shows cover most of what you'd want from a photography community. Something to look forward to twice a week, and a live chat full of people who care about the same things you do.

Both shows stream live on YouTube. Everything is available afterwards on YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and all the major podcast platforms.
