The Classic 40 is one of our latest designs, it sits right in-between our Slim 30 and Standard 53 making it the perfect size for almost any photographer and a range of camera sizes.
This rich Chestnut Brown leather strap will go on a journey with you and your camera. It's an oiled pull-up which means that from the very first time you use it the strap will start developing it's own unique marks and character. Subtle lighter tones will begin to reveal themselves as this strap becomes a part of your creative life for years to come.
Like every strap in our range this one is available with our very own custom engineered Quick Release System so you can rapidly attach, adjust, detach and even swap camera straps during shoots.

Will it fit me?
The Standard Length is little longer than a stock strap, perfect for using as a traditional neck strap or hanging off one shoulder. Also works as a cross body strap for most people up to about 170cm (5'7" tall).
Our Long Length straps are 25cm longer than our Standard Length which makes them better for wearing across the body for people over 170cm (5'7") tall.

Will it fit my camera?
This strap will work with almost any camera, especially larger DSLR setups with heavy lenses. It attaches in the same way as the stock strap that came with your camera, so basically any camera that has a set of 10mm webbing slots or rings will work! Click here for more info.
How strong is it?
We have designed these straps to be worn all day with the heaviest pro DSLR setups so you can rest assured they are strong enough. If you are looking for a weight I have attached 50kg (115lb) of weight to a camera without the strap breaking, but I hope your camera is not that heavy!
Personalisation Options
Any of our full leather camera straps can be personalised with a name or even a logo!
The personalisation is achieved by hot pressing the letters into the leather resulting in a timeless look and feel.
You choose the embossing options on the product page as you are adding the strap to your cart.

Leather Description
Classic Chestnut Brown is an oiled pull-up leather which looks stunning, is super durable and extremely comfortable. Because it is an oiled pull-up leather, it has natural markings and tones which will vary from strap to strap and it also ages beautifully! Not only will it get softer and more comfortable but it will also become more visually textured with lighter tones coming quickly through the leather as it wears in.
Classic 40 Design
For a while now customers have been asking if they can get the construction and colours of the Standard 53 and Slim 30 in something the size of our Simple 40. Introducing the Classic 40, our goldilocks strap size! Together these three straps (Slim 30, Classic 40, Standard 53) along with our Classic Wrist Straps form the new Classic Range.
Unlike our Simple range, the body of every strap in the Classic Range is actually two pieces of leather which are glued back-to-back and stitched together for a lifetime of durability and comfort. We then add our embossed end pieces which are also glued and stitched to connect the 10mm webbing ends to the main body.

Custom Logo straps can take 3-5 weeks before they are dispatched so please contact us before ordering if you have a specific date you need if for.

Gifted this strap to my SO to complement her (Lucky Straps) wrist strap. There are times when the wrist strap is best, but for longer walks the Classic 40 (long) is the way to go - and the quick release makes the changeover easy. Well made, looks good, feels comfortable and makes photography easier.
I love this strap. It really is made of superb materials and the quick release system works well. No dangly bits!
I chose the 40mm and its perfect for my Olympus E-M1 which is a medium size camera.
It looks great, feels nice and is classy.
I use a Nikon D750 and with my heaviest lens the total weight is almost 1.9kg. The Classic 40 handles the weight very well. It is comfortable on my shoulders. The leather is sturdy yet soft so when the strap does come in contact to bare skin it is not scratchy. The quick release is perfect. While I like having it since I do a lot of long exposure photography my concern was whether it would be secure. The design of the LuckyStraps quick release is ingenious. The locking mechanism works in the way that it is both easy yet secure. The workmanship of the leather is beautiful, not to mention the awesome range of colours to choose from.
Great quality strap! Feels very secure, long enough to have the camera around to my side while walking. Very nice colouring and all round feel!
