This is one of the videos from my 30 Day Challenge where I filmed myself making images straight out of camera and then posted the images and video on that same day.
On this day (day 13) I went camping with my nephew Vaughan, it was his first time camping without his parents.
The weather turned on us but is made for a great adventure exploring caves up on Mt Alexander. Had I not been trying to make new images each day, I'm not sure if we would have ventured out into the weather, and we certainly wouldn't have as many memories!
You might not want to make a daily POV video of your own photography adventures, but if you are looking for a little motivation set yourself a photography challenge. I promise that you will find yourself in new locations, having mini adventures with your camera and if you stick to it you will make some great images too.
IS THE LEICA Q3 TOUGH ENOUGH FOR EDC?
I often mention to my non-photographer friends that the Q3 is like a Rolex. Amazingly built, but probably not as tough as a Casio G-Shock....
During this outing I put the Leica Q3 to the test in the rainy weather and it performed perfectly! the square lens hood protect the front element from water droplets and the sealed body showed no signs of water ingress.
It is an amazing every day carry (EDC) camera that lets you stay in the moment while still documenting life as it unfolds. The only thing I could wish for is continuous autofocus that tracks moving subject more like my Canon R series cameras but that's a lot to ask of a camera this small.
My current favourite camera strap for the Leica Q3 is the Slim 30 Leather Camera Strap in Antique Brown.

The following images appear in the above video and are all unedited jpegs straight out of the camera.
