Details and Sizing
Will it fit me?
The Standard Length is little longer than a stock strap, perfect for using as a traditional neck strap or hanging off one shoulder. Also works as a cross body strap for most people up to about 170cm (5'7" tall).
Our Long Length straps are 25cm longer than our Standard Length which makes them better for wearing across the body for people over 170cm (5'7") tall.
This strap will work with almost any camera, especially larger DSLR setups with heavy lenses. It attaches in the same way as the stock strap that came with your camera, so basically any camera that has a set of 10mm webbing slots or rings will work! Click here for more info.
How strong is it?
We have designed these straps to be worn all day with the heaviest pro DSLR setups so you can rest assured they are strong enough. If you are looking for a weight I have attached 50kg (115lb) of weight to a camera without the strap breaking, but I hope your camera is not that heavy!
Our 50mm cotton is made from natural materials in Melbourne, Australia. It is super soft, extremely durable and insanely comfortable. A great option for hot climates, the natural cotton breathes well in even the harshest conditions. The leather ends are made from our premium black leather and feature matching black stitching.
Standard 53 Design
This design was our first camera strap and is by far our most popular strap of all time! The 'Standard 53' is wider and longer so that you can carry your DSLR all day without getting sore.
We use the same tested process to attach our genuine leather end pieces, making these straps strong enough to carry even the heaviest DSLR and lens combos! These leather end pieces are embossed with our logo and are carefully glued and stitched to connect the 10mm webbing that is used to secure the strap to your camera.

Cameras and lenses are expensive and delicate. I was looking for a camera strap with a quick release system that was well made, secure and reliable to use, especially in remote locations. Lucky Camera Straps are just the job. I chose the cotton strap as I expected it would be pliable and easy to fold up small and fit into my camera pack, and it is. Service was excellent and my strap was delivered to the UK very quickly. The strap is wider than the strap that came with my camera and is therefore more comfortable.
On my Shoulder from Down under
This is my sixth Lucky Strap. I have 3 of the Cotton Standard 53s in all the colors made and 3 leather straps. 1 of them is for my Hasselbald V series cameras, the other 2 are attached to Peak Designs quick connect system for use with my Mirrorless, RF and DSLR cameras.
Even though these are quick release straps, I still use the Peak Design system with it. The ease of length adjustment with these straps work well for me.
I use the cotton straps in the tropics with temperatures in the 30-36C range and 60-90% humidity all year round. Needless to say, these straps get soaked in sweat and get rained on from time to time. Even the white canvas strap hasn't discolored or even shown any signs of staining after several days of use.
I normally apply a waterproofing lotion to all the leather surfaces of my straps before I use them and reapply every few months. I wipe down the cotton straps using a damp sponge after each use to get rid of the dirt and sweat. Then hang them to air- dry.
I sling my cameras across the body most of the time and these straps can comfortably handle my heaviest camera, the Hasselblad 503, for a few hours. I'm suitably impressed with the quality, comfort and durability of the Lucky Standard 53 straps. They're right up there with the best straps in the world. I can safely say this having owned a wide range of camera straps from all over the world over the many years I've been taking photos. these straps are my go to strap for long photo walks.
Very comfortable strap
Never realised how uncomfortable the neck strap on my Canon was until I replaced it with the Standard 53 Lucky Strap, it is a joy to use. Very glad for the timely reference to the Lucky Strap business through the Canon promotion.
My only issue, not with the strap but with the camera, is it is a little awkward threading the right hand strap end through the camera loop on the Canon 6D MK2, to have the quick release latch on the outside.
Cotton 50 - perfect street wise strap
I recently took delivery of a cotton 50 Lucky Strap and I want to say it’s perfect for me. I shoot a lot of street photography and it’s nice to wrap around my wrist ready to shoot straight away or hang over my shoulder if I’m walking distances. Whether you have a 24mm prime (Shown) or a heavier zoom attached to your camera, the strap is really comfortable. It’s quality is superb. Thank you Justin and the team for the product. Mark.
Finally a strap I use.
Most of the time, I don't use a strap because it gets in the way and is a pain putting it on and off. I've tried other quick release systems, but they all leave a dongle or something on the camera that interferes with your handgrip. The quick-release and easy setup of the Lucky Strap is the perfect strap.
