Classic 40 Camera Strap - Matte Black
The Classic 40 is one of our latest designs, it sits right in-between our Slim 30 and Standard 53 making it the perfect size for almost any photographer and a range of camera sizes.
This stealthy Matte Black Leather has a very fine surface grain which is what gives it the unique Matte texture. Choose from 3 different accent stitching colours to complement your gear. This leather is mostly a smooth finish but will feature a few small unique character markings on every strap.
Like every strap in our range this one is available with our very own custom engineered Quick Release System so you can rapidly attach, adjust, detach and even swap camera straps during shoots.

Will it fit me?
The Standard Length is little longer than a stock strap, perfect for using as a traditional neck strap or hanging off one shoulder. Also works as a cross body strap for most people up to about 170cm (5'7" tall).
Our Long Length straps are 25cm longer than our Standard Length which makes them better for wearing across the body for people over 170cm (5'7") tall.

Will it fit my camera?
This strap will work with almost any camera, especially larger DSLR setups with heavy lenses. It attaches in the same way as the stock strap that came with your camera, so basically any camera that has a set of 10mm webbing slots or rings will work! Click here for more info.
How strong is it?
We have designed these straps to be worn all day with the heaviest pro DSLR setups so you can rest assured they are strong enough. If you are looking for a weight I have attached 50kg (115lb) of weight to a camera without the strap breaking, but I hope your camera is not that heavy!
Personalisation Options
Any of our full leather camera straps can be personalised with a name or even a logo!
The personalisation is achieved by hot pressing the letters into the leather resulting in a timeless look and feel.

Leather Description
The perfect leather for a Ninja!
A smooth, Matte finish is what makes our newest leather so unique. It is very strong, a little firmer to begin with but then softening up nicely with just a few uses. The matte finish is great in adverse weather so this is a great choice for adventurous photographers.
This leather does feature small round marks and some scars, which on the smooth finish will stand out a little begin with but as the strap softens they will blend in to the overall look.
Classic 40 Design
For a while now customers have been asking if they can get the construction and colours of the Standard 53 and Slim 30 in something the size of our Simple 40. Introducing the Classic 40, our goldilocks strap size! Together these three straps (Slim 30, Classic 40, Standard 53) along with our Classic Wrist Straps form the new Classic Range.
Unlike our Simple range, the body of every strap in the Classic Range is actually two pieces of leather which are glued back-to-back and stitched together for a lifetime of durability and comfort. We then add our embossed end pieces which are also glued and stitched to connect the 10mm webbing ends to the main body.

I love this strap. It really is made of superb materials and the quick release system works well. No dangly bits!
I chose the 40mm and its perfect for my Olympus E-M1 which is a medium size camera.
It looks great, feels nice and is classy.
I use a Nikon D750 and with my heaviest lens the total weight is almost 1.9kg. The Classic 40 handles the weight very well. It is comfortable on my shoulders. The leather is sturdy yet soft so when the strap does come in contact to bare skin it is not scratchy. The quick release is perfect. While I like having it since I do a lot of long exposure photography my concern was whether it would be secure. The design of the LuckyStraps quick release is ingenious. The locking mechanism works in the way that it is both easy yet secure. The workmanship of the leather is beautiful, not to mention the awesome range of colours to choose from.
Great quality strap! Feels very secure, long enough to have the camera around to my side while walking. Very nice colouring and all round feel!
That is how much I love this strap. I need an excuse to pick up a few more in different colors! The quality is unbeatable and the patina is really starting to pick up the more I use it. Use it with a Nikon D850 and heavy lens and it works great. The only thing better than the strap is the customer service. My experience has to be in the top 3 best customer service experiences I've had. If you are on the fence about purchasing a strap, pull the trigger. You most certainly won't regret it!
